"Japan Architecture in My Frame"

“Travelling in my mind, DSLR in my arms, and architecture in my heart”

Salam,
Krishna

"Japan Architecture in My Frame"

“Travelling in my mind, DSLR in my arms, and architecture in my heart”

As an architect, photography is a supportive learning media for architecture. My skill in photography that I have been keen in this past 5 years has become my best friend in exploring architecture. It’s undeniable that “architecture is everywhere”. Through photography, I can communicate what I’ve seen in the form of two dimensional photographs and become a reflection and discussion for me and other architects

This passion brought me to travel to Japan seeing the architecture work of Japan’s master architects; Tadao Ando, Kengo Kuma, Sou Fujimoto, Ryue Nishinawa, and many more. I was feeling lucky that one of famous Indonesian architect, Andra Matin, was guiding our small team in Japan. This Japan architecture excursion has made my photography soul scream to capture each detail and swallowed all the experience of space and finding “angle” into my camera.

Hopefully I can share what I saw, what I felt, and what I captured through Architects Under Big 3. To you.

Regards,
Krishna
