Ruang-ruang Bersama

Berkesempatan mempelajari lebih dalam tentang filosofi desain arsitektur lewat sebuah kompetisi desain, hingga terlibat langsung di tengah isu-isu "ruang kota" yang muncul, membuka rasa ingin tahu Saya dalam membaca dan mempelajari fenomena kota untuk kemudian coba diterjemahkan lewat perspektif arsitektur.

Berbicara mengenai isu-isu progresif yang bermunculan di dalam masyarakat, ruang edukasi adalah hal dari sekian banyak ruang penting lain untuk diperhatikan. Dengan mencoba menghadirkan sebuah ruang bacaan yang bersifat edukatif dan rekreatif, diharapkan memberikan stimulus positif sebagai 'ruang' baru bagi pendekatan proses edukasi di masyarakat. Selain itu, dengan menyelami ruang-ruang khayalak , Saya juga berkesempatan untuk terlibat dengan para aktivis/penggiat kreativitas lainnya untuk mencoba menciptakan bentuk-bentuk apreasiasi terhadap pemikiran-pemikiran yang  baru bagi ruang kota untuk bersama.

Tentang Fajar Ikhwan Harnomo :

Fajar Ikhwan Harnomo, yang akrab disapa Fajar, lahir di Bandung , Juni 24 tahun yang lalu. Menyelesaikan studi arsitekturnya dari Institut Teknologi Nasional Bandung pada tahun 2010. Pada tahun 2007, Fajar menjadi bagian dari tim desain “Jawa Tengah Learning Center Design Competition” bersama Baskoro Tedjo dan meraih juara 1. Pemuda yang saat ini bekerja di GFAB Architects Pte.Ltd, Bali memiliki hobi fotografi, bersepeda, membaca, dan traveling.

Tentang Architects Under Big 3 :

Architects Under Big 3 (AUB3) diselenggarakan pada hari Jumat pertama tiap bulan yang dibawakan oleh arsitek muda usia dibawah 30 tahun. Dalam kegiatan ini arsitek muda diberi kesempatan untuk mempresentasikan karya arsitektur beserta pemikiran mereka pada publik melalui presentasi non formal yang diteruskan dengan diskusi santai. Bertempat di Danes Art Veranda, peserta diberi kebebasan untuk memilih ruangnya sendiri -di halaman, dek, rooftop, galeri- dimanapun tempat dimana mereka rasa paling nyaman untuk berbagi cerita dengan pendengarnya. Melalui pendekatan ini, arsitek muda beserta ide dan karya arsitekturnya berkesempatan untuk mendapatkan ruang berkomunikasi dengan khalayak yang lebih luas, baik khalayak awam arsitektur maupun khalayak arsitektur.

Communal Spaces

Having the opportunity to learn further about architecture design philosophy by design competition through getting involved in the midst of “city space” issues that emerged, opened my curiosity in reading and learning the city phenomenon to be translated into architecture perspective.

Talking about progressive issues which are emerging in the public, the education space is one of many important public spaces that should be observed. One of them, by trying to provide an educative and recreative public reading-space, it is expected to give positive stimulus as a new “space” for educational process approach in the society. Moreover, by exploring the public spaces, I also had an opportunity to contribute with activists and other creative actuators to create appreciations towards new ideas for new public city space.

About Fajar Ikhwan Harnomo :

Fajar Ikhwan Harnomo, known as Fajar, was born in Bandung   24 years ago. He finished his study in architecture from National Institute of Technology (ITENAS), Bandung in 2010. In 2007, he joined a design team fot “Jawa Tengah Learning Center Design Competition” with Baskoro Tedjo and won the first prize. His hobbies and interests are cycling, photography, reading, and traveling. Now he works at GFAB Architects Pte. Ltd, Bali.

About Architects Under Big 3 :

Architects Under Big 3 (AUB3) is an architectural presentation and discussion held on the first Friday of each month, and dedicated to young architects under 30 years of age. In this activity the young architect is given the opportunity to present their thoughts and works of architecture to the public through non-formal presentation, followed by an informal discussion. Located at Danes Art Veranda, the young architect is given freedom to choose their own space-in the yard, dining room, rooftop, gallery;  wherever the place  where  they  feel most comfortable to share their stories with  the audience. Through this approach, the young architect and their ideas and works of architecture get the opportunity and space to communicate with a wider audience: both general audience and audiences from the field of architecture.
