Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, terutama dalam dunia arsitektur, sketsa sering tergantikan dengan kemajuan teknologi berupa computer dan program – program menggambarnya. Padahal dengan sketsa, kta dapat menangkap benda, ruang, ataupun suasana dengan ciri khasnya masing – masing.

Sebagai sebuah komunitas yang berkecimpung dalam dunia sketsa, kami ingin membagikan pengalaman kami dalam bersketsa.

Tentang Urban Sketchers Bali :
Urban Sketchers Bali, resmi terbentuk pada 10 November 2012. Dengan mengadopsi komunitas serupa di wilayah Eropa maupun Asia Tenggara dengan Rudy Ao sebagai penggagas ide munculnya komunitas ini. Sebagai sebuah komunitas baru, Urban Sketcher bali melakukan kegiatan bersketsanya pada setiap minggunya di berbagai lokasi di seputar pulau Bali salah satunya adalah Lapangan Niti Mandala, Pantai Sanur, dan Pasar Badung. Anggota dari komunitas ini pun sangat beragam, tetapi mayoritas adalah arsitek dan desainer.

See The World, One Drawing at a Time

Along with the modernity, especially in architecture world, sketches are often replaced with a new technology called computers and its drawing program. While with sketches, we can capture objects, spaces, or the atmosphere and spirit of the place with our own characteristic. Each sketchers can capture different angles.

As a community whom concern with sketches, we wanted to share our experience in sketching.

About Urban Sketchers Bali :
Urban Sketchers Bali, established on 10 November 2012. By adopting similar communities in Europe and Southeast Asia with Rudy Ao as the originator of the idea. As a new community, Urban Sketchers Bali doing their sketches activities on a weekly basis at various locations around the Bali Island such as Niti Mandala field, Sanur Beach, and Badung Traditional Market. Members of this community is very diverse, but mostly are architects and designers.
