Posmodern – kontemporer – “green”, adalah 3 genre arsitektur yang paling populer saat ini. Post modern sering diasosiasikan dengan kedinamisan, kontemporer dengan penempelan “ornamen tradisional” dan “green” dengan “penghijauan”nya. Arsitektur seringkali dipahami hanya sebagai bentuk kulit-luarnya saja, sebagai ‘pen-citra-an’, sebagai ikon(isasi).

Ikon-ikon arsitektur jaman dahulu yang merupakan “kontras” kini sudah menjadi komoditas utama, menjadi sebuah tren yang mulai basi. Kini, para arsitek berlomba - lomba mengikuti para pendahulunya untuk menciptakan sebuah ikon. Arsitektur bukan hanya melulu tentang bentuk bangunan (fasad), tetapi juga tentang konsep, ruang, dan suasana.

Melalui metode reaktif (RE/ARCH/TION), saya akan mengajak siapapun yang hadir belajar Posmodern tidak dari Gehry atau Libeskind tapi melalui Heidegger dan Derrida menuju Nietzsche; membongkar peta imperialisme Frampton dan Rudofsky, mendekonstruksi pola tata ruang Howard dan trio Wright-Corbusier-Mata, kemudian menggunduli semak-semak “green”.

Tentang Eka Swadiansa :

Eka Swadiansa, menyelesaikan studi arsitekturnya dari Universitas Brawijaya pada tahun 2008. Pada tahun 2008 juga, Eka mendirikan OSA sebagai studio inkubasi desain dengan fokus pekerjaan kompetisi. Pada tahun 2009 ia melakukan kerja praktek di Takenaka Corporation Osaka International Headquarter melalui dana Tadao Ando Foundation. Kini ia aktif memberi kuliah tamu di Universitas Brawijaya, menulis di beberapa jurnal dan menjadi pembicara di beberapa seminar baik nasional maupun internasional.

Tentang Architects Under Big 3 :

Architects Under Big 3 (AUB3) diselenggarakan pada hari Jumat pertama tiap bulan yang dibawakan oleh arsitek muda usia dibawah 30 tahun. Dalam kegiatan ini arsitek muda diberi kesempatan untuk mempresentasikan karya arsitektur beserta pemikiran mereka pada publik melalui presentasi non formal yang diteruskan dengan diskusi santai. Bertempat di Danes Art Veranda, peserta diberi kebebasan untuk memilih ruangnya sendiri -di halaman, dek, rooftop, galeri- dimanapun tempat dimana mereka rasa paling nyaman untuk berbagi cerita dengan pendengarnya. Melalui pendekatan ini, arsitek muda beserta ide dan karya arsitekturnya berkesempatan untuk mendapatkan ruang berkomunikasi dengan khalayak yang lebih luas, baik khalayak awam arsitektur maupun khalayak arsitektur.

Not A Make Up Architecture

"When FACADE become an END RESULT of a design PROCESS"

Post modern – contemporary – green, are today’s three most popular architecture genre. Post modern often associated with dynamic form, contemporary with the embedding of traditional ornament, and green with its “green-ing”. Architecture is generally understood merely as the outer shell, as the imaging, as icon(ization).

The former architecture icons which were the “contrast” nowadays become a major commodity, a fusty trend. Today architects try to copy their forerunner to create new icon. Architecture is not just about the form of buildings (facade), but also about concept, space, and ambience. Through (RE/ARCH/TION), the reactive method, I will invite the audience to learn post modern not from Gehry or Libeskind but from Heidegger and Derrida to Nietzsche; break down the imperialism map of Frampton and Rudofsky, deconstruct the spatial pattern of Howard  and the trio – Wright, Corbusier, and Mata, then clean out “green” bush.

Eka Swadiansa completed his architecture study at Brawijaya University in 2008. At the same year Eka established OSA as the incubation studio in focus on design competition. In 2009 he had an internship at Takenaka Corporation Osaka International Headquarter by Tadao Ando Foundation grant. Now, he is actively a guest lecturer at Brawijaya University, writing journals, and a speaker at seminars, both national and international.

About Architects Under Big 3 :

Architects Under Big 3 (AUB3) is an architectural presentation and discussion held on the first Friday of each month, and dedicated to young architects under 30 years of age. In this activity the young architect is given the opportunity to present their thoughts and works of architecture to the public through non-formal presentation, followed by an informal discussion. Located at Danes Art Veranda, the young architect is given freedom to choose their own space-in the yard, dining room, rooftop, gallery;  wherever the place  where  they  feel most comfortable to share their stories with  the audience. Through this approach, the young architect and their ideas and works of architecture get the opportunity and space to communicate with a wider audience: both general audience and audiences from the field of architecture.
