"Architect's Interiorspectives in Australian Curiculum"

Kata pertama yang muncul dalam benak saya adalah ‘Asing’. Semua sangatlah asing, karena itu merupakan kali pertama saya menginjakkan kaki di tanah aborigine itu. Semua berjalan cukup baik, masa orientasi atau biasa disebut dengan istilah ‘O-Week’ sangat berbeda dengan cerita- cerita ospek yang sering saya dengar. Pada saat O-Week, organisasi- organisasi mahasiswa berlomba-lomba untuk mengumpulkan anggota dengan mendirikan beberapa stand. Perkenalan mengenai tempat-tempat di areal kampus atau yang disebut Campus Tour juga berlangsung pada saat O-Week. Cukup menggambarkan suasana yang Fun.

“Bagaimana rasanya hidup berinteraksi dengan sekumpulan orang asing?, Apakah kehidupan mahasiswa jurusan arsitektur disana bernasib sama?, Seperti apa saja tugas-tugas yang dikerjakan? Seperti apa tingkat kesulitannya? Bahan apa yang biasa digunakan untuk merancang sebuah physical model? Dan seterusnya”. Pertanyaan- pertanyaan yang kerap kali dilontarkan masyarakat kepada saya, akan saya jawab dan bagi dalam AUB edisi #54 kali ini.

Tentang Agnes :

Agnes Carissa atau biasa di panggil Agnes, lahir pada 27 Mei 1991 di Denpasar. Menyelesaikan studi nya di University of New South Wales (Bachelor of Interior Architecture) pada tahun 2014. Kata pertama yang muncul dalam benak Agnes saat pertama kali menginjakan kaki di tanah Aborigine adalah “Asing”, namun semua dapat di jalani dengan baik oleh Agnes dimulai dari masa Orientasi (O-Week) dalam menempuh pendidikan Interior Architecture hingga kelulusan. Interior Architecture memiliki pengertian tersendiri yang cukup unik dan  merupakan satu kesatuan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Interior Architecture memiliki arti yang berbeda dengan Design, namun saling berkaitan satu sama lain, banyak pertanyaan yang muncul dalam benak Agnes ketika paradigma ini dilontarkan, namun semua menjadi jelas dengan berjalannya waktu dan pembahasannya dalam sebuah kurikulum yang diajukan UNSW.

"Architect’s Interiorspectives in Australian Curiculum"

The first word that comes to my mind is 'Strange'. All very unfamiliar, because it is the first time I set foot in the land of the Aborigine. All went fairly well, the orientation or commonly referred to as 'O-Week' is very different from the stories I often hear ospek. At the time of O-Week, student organizations compete to collect members to set up some booths. Introduction to the places in the campus area or called Campus Tour also takes place during O-Week. Fun adequately describe the atmosphere.

"How does it feel to live with a bunch of strangers interact ?, Is there life Architecture students meet the same fate ?, Like what tasks are done? What is the level of difficulty? What materials are commonly used to design a physical model? And so on ". The questions often posed to my community, I will answer and for the AUB issue # 54 this time..

Carissa Agnes or or used to be called Agnes, was born on May 27, 1991 in New Denpasar.
