“ DESIGN by ARCHITECT or DESIGN by
CLIENT ? ”
Keterlibatan arsitek

Within this presentation will be explained about the method that is being used
in the design process and how to educate clients about their involvement in the
design process, along with examples of projects that have successfully built by
the ideas, concepts, and the drawing of the architect and examples of project
that is built but it is not similar by the ideas and concepts of the architect
because of the changes from the client during the construction that runs
without the agreement of the architect.

“ DESIGN by ARCHITECT or DESIGN by
CLIENT ? ”
Involvement of
architects in the architectural design process (supposedly) have a positive
impact in the planning, construction and the use of buildings for the future.
Services of an architect in the design planning can facilitate the clients or
users of the building since the building process can be more planned, abble to
make the space can be more efficient, and can estimate the cost before the
construction. Beside the role of architect, the client involvement is needed in the design process, where the brief
from the client can be the basis in determining the architect design. However, the
involvement of the client that is too
much can be a problem in the design process so that the idea of the architect
who was well planned and will be applied in the field got a complete changes
from the client, and it makes the thought of architect seems like useless.
Related to this, supposedly find ways on educating clients about the ideas of
the architect and how far a client can involve in it.
